Tips for operating a condenser

1When the refrigeration system is running, the condenser should be opened except for the oil drain valve and air drain valve closed.

2The condensing pressure of water-cooled condenser should not exceed 1.5MPa at the highest, otherwise the reason should be found out and excluded in time. Compressor all stop 15min before stopping the water supply to the condenser. When stop working for a long time in winter, the stored water should be drained to avoid freezing the equipment.

 

3Check the temperature and volume of cooling water frequently, the temperature difference between the import and export of cooling water is about 2~4, and the general condensing temperature is 3~5higher than the temperature of cooling water.

4Dirt on the wall of the condenser tube should be removed regularly the thickness of dirt should not exceed 1mm, generally remove once a year.

5, should be checked every month condenser water whether there is ammonia, such as ammonia in the water will turn red when meet phenolphthalein. Fluorine condenser leakage phenomenon will appear when the oil. Leakage of condenser should be found in time for timely maintenance.

6, vertical shell and tube condenser water distributor should be placed appropriately, the water along the inner wall of the pipe should be evenly distributed, the amount of water should be sufficient.

7Horizontal shell and tube condenser cooling water should be down burst up and out, running cooling water shall not be interrupted.

8, evaporative condenser operation, should start the exhaust fan and circulating water pump, and then open the burst valve and liquid valve. Water spray nozzle should be smooth, spray water to be uniform, once a year to clean the scale.

9, air-cooled condenser should often use compressed air to clean the tube wall and heat dissipation ribs on the accumulated dust, in order to improve heat transfer efficiency.

10, more than one condenser used in combination, to determine the number of condenser work stations, the amount of cooling water required and the number of pumps running, should be based on the compressor load, cooling water temperature and other parameters, to achieve the refrigeration system’s economic, reasonable and safe operation.
