Analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of air-cooled VS direct-cooled cold storage

The meaning of direct-cooled cold storage: the cooling pipe of the evaporator of the cold storage is directly fixed on the storage board. When the evaporator absorbs heat, the air closer to the cooling pipe cools down faster, thereby forming natural convection in the cold storage, gradually realizing Overall cooling, that is, direct cooling, such as common iron pipes, aluminum pipes, etc.

The meaning of air-cooled cold storage: the cold air generated by the evaporator of the cold storage is forced to circulate through the fan, so that the cold air is evenly distributed in each compartment of the cold storage to achieve cooling, that is, the cooling method that uses the fan to circulate the cold air.

Direct cooling cold storage

The advantages of direct cooling cold storage:

1. The direct cooling type cold storage has a simple structure, a relatively low failure rate, and a low cost leading to a low price.

Second, the cooling effect is good, relatively speaking, it is more energy-saving and power-saving.

3. There is natural convection in the confined space, the air humidity is relatively high, and the moisture of the food is not easy to lose.

4. The temperature volatilizes slowly. If the unit fails in a short time, the original temperature can be maintained in the warehouse for a short time, and the impact on the goods is small.

Disadvantages of direct cooling cold storage:

1. The problem of frosting causes users to defrost manually, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and unwelcome.

2. The frosting problem will seriously affect the heat-absorbing cooling of the evaporator, and the cooling efficiency will drop significantly.

3. Natural convection makes the distribution of cold storage uneven, and there are freezing dead corners in the cold storage. The degree of freezing of food is different, and the cooling effect is poor.

Fourth, the cooling is slightly slower, because according to the characteristics of the pipeline, the cooling speed is slightly slower;

5. The humidity of the air is relatively high, which is easy to cause the food in the freezer to stick and freeze together, and it is not easy to separate.

Air-cooled cold storage

Advantages of air-cooled cold storage:

1. The air-cooled refrigerator basically does not form frost on the inner wall of the refrigerator, which avoids the trouble of manual defrosting by users, and saves the user’s worry and effort, so it is welcomed by many consumers.

2. The cooling air is forced to circulate by the fan, the cooling speed of the cold storage is faster, and the distribution of the cold air is more balanced.

3. Fast cooling, the cooling fan can quickly cool, so that the temperature in the warehouse can quickly reach the temperature required by the goods.

Fourth, the relative price of direct cooling aluminum row is cheap.

Disadvantages of air-cooled cold storage:

1. The complex structure of the air-cooled cold storage causes a relatively high failure rate, and the cost also rises.

2. In order to realize the circulation of cold air, the workload of the fan is large, and the automatic defrosting will also increase the energy consumption, so the power consumption is large.

3. Fast cooling and quick freezing. If there is a short-term failure of the unit, or the selection of thermal insulation materials is unreasonable, the cooling will be faster. Therefore, there must be certain requirements for the time when the after-sales maintenance personnel come to the door.

Fourth, the food in the warehouse is easy to dry up, and the goods that are not packaged or the tuyere are easy to be dried and lose moisture.
