What are the methods for controlling the flow and pressure of cold storage pipelines?

I. Flow Control Methods

1. Regulating Valve Control: Flow rate in cold storage pipelines can be controlled by adjusting the valve opening. Increasing the valve opening increases the flow rate, and vice versa. This method is simple and easy to implement, but suffers from slow adjustment speed and high energy consumption.

2. Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Control: VFDs can control the flow rate in cold storage pipelines by adjusting the motor speed. This method offers fast adjustment speed. It has good energy-saving effects, but is costly and requires specific motor and VFD specifications.

Intelligent Flow Control Valve: Intelligent flow control valves combine the advantages of the above two methods, featuring fast adjustment speed, high precision, and good energy-saving effects. By setting a target flow rate value, the valve automatically adjusts to achieve that value, thus achieving precise flow control.

II. Pressure Control Methods

1. Bypass Diversion Method: By installing a bypass diversion valve on the cold storage pipeline, the water flow path in the pipeline is changed, thereby controlling the pressure. This method is simple and easy to implement, but suffers from limited adjustment range and high wear on equipment.

2. Differential Pressure Controller: A differential pressure controller automatically adjusts valve openings to stabilize pressure by detecting the differential pressure in the cold storage pipeline. This method offers high accuracy and fast adjustment, but it is costly and requires sophisticated equipment.

By adjusting the balance between flow rate and pressure, stable operation of the cold storage system can be achieved. By setting target flow rate and pressure values, the system automatically adjusts valve openings and bypass ratios to reach the target values. This method ensures both flow rate and pressure control, making it suitable for cold storage systems under various operating conditions.
