The cold storage distribution box is the “control center” of the refrigeration system. Standardized installation and operation directly affect the safety and efficiency of operation. The following are the core precautions for the installation and use of the distribution box:
①. Wiring protection specifications
1. External wiring protection
Steel pipes or hoses must be used for protection to avoid mechanical damage
The wiring is prohibited from being exposed to locations susceptible to collision and friction
2. Power line laying requirements
The machine tool power line must be placed in the bridge, and the bridge must be equipped with a base support
The bridge must be kept away from the ground (recommended ≥5cm from the ground)
②. Pipeline and wiring standards
1. Unified piping principle
All external piping must be of uniform specifications to avoid mixing and causing system failures
Pipeline interfaces must be waterproof and sealed (protection level ≥ IP55)
2. Heating equipment wiring
Heater connection wires must be made of high-temperature resistant materials (glass/ceramic tube wires)
It is prohibited to use flammable wires, and wiring must be kept away from heat sources ≥ 30cm
③. Connection safety requirements
1. Wiring specifications
All wire connections must be made through a dedicated connection box
It is strictly forbidden to have joints in the middle of the line (which may cause short circuits)
2. Use of terminal blocks
A single terminal block can connect up to 2 wires
Additional terminal blocks are required for more than 3 wires to avoid overload
④. Special location processing
Sensor protection
Sensors in vulnerable areas need to be equipped with hose protection
The hose should be fixed directly to the root of the sensor
⑤. Daily maintenance points
1. Regular inspection system
Check the insulation of the line and the status of the connection points every month
Replace aging/damaged parts in time
2. Emergency handling of faults
Immediately cut off the power for maintenance if any abnormality (smell/sound/overheating) is found
Expert Tip: After the distribution box is installed, it needs to be tested for 72 hours without load, and it can be put into formal use only after confirming that there are no abnormalities. Following the above specifications can reduce the risk of electrical failure by more than 80%.
