What are the precautions for cold storage design drainage?

Now the standardization of cold storage design, because cold storage is used in many industries, its role cannot be underestimated, and there are many issues that need to be paid attention to in cold storage design.

• Floor drains should be installed on the ground of cooling rooms and refrigeration compressor rooms, and the water seal height of floor drains should not be less than 50mm. Elevator shafts, weighing pits and other places that are easy to collect water should have drainage and water backflow prevention facilities.

• Drainage measures should be set up in the basement and ground overhead layer of cold storage buildings.

• The drainage of the water pan of the air cooler, the drainage of the evaporative condenser, and the ground drainage of the cold storage room for storing food or beverages shall not be directly connected to the sewage and wastewater pipeline system, and indirect drainage should be adopted. The drainage of the frost (thaw) water on each floor of the multi-layer cold storage should be equipped with a water seal device before the main riser of the frost (thaw) drainage.

• The frost (thaw) drainage pipes of cold rooms with different temperatures should be equipped with a water seal device before connecting to the frost (thaw) drainage main pipe.

• When the air cooler uses hot ammonia defrosting or electric defrosting, the defrosting drainage can be discharged directly. The defrosting drainage pipe in the warehouse can be insulated by electric heating.

• The slope and fullness of the defrosting (thawing) drainage pipe shall comply with the provisions of the current national standard “Code for Design of Building Water Supply and Drainage” GB 50015.

• When the cold storage room for cooling objects is located in the basement, the collection well (pool) for defrosting (thawing) drainage should take measures to prevent freezing and water backflow.

• A water seal or water seal well should be set at the outlet of the defrosting (thawing) drainage pipe. Anti-freezing measures should be taken for water seals and water seal wells in cold areas.
